Joanna McDonagh - Vice Principal
As Vice Principal, Jo leads on Achievement and Outcomes. She is responsible for curriculum design cross the academy, our extensive and relevant qualification offer and works closely with Middle Leaders. Jo is lead professional for the academy PMLD Provision and a teacher of English. She is also a Specialist Leader of Education for SEND.
Jo monitors student progress and leads on the qualification offer at Key Stage 4. She ensures student profiles are kept up-to-date which then informs best practice. She works hard to ensure that provision at the Academy for students with the most complex needs is focused on individual needs and promotes an evidence based approach. Being a Specialist Leader in Education for the Stockton Teaching Alliance, Jo supports schools across the borough in matters related to SEND.
