As Vice Principal, Sarah leads on Teaching and Learning across the academy. She is responsible for curriculum design, our Key Stage 3 subject offer and works closely with Middle Leaders. Sarah is lead professional for our ASD Provision, SENCO and teacher of the successful semi-formal curriculum. Sarah skilfully deploys staff to ensure provision is effective every day and manages risk, for both on and off site activities.

Sarah observes and monitors the quality of teaching and learning across the whole school, oversees the provision offered to our young people who present on the autism spectrum, coordinates professional learning opportunities for staff to ensure that the latest guidance and practices informs their teaching, represents the academy at the National Autism Society Network group for the North East of England and liaises with lead professionals such as the Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist to make sure the appropriate resources are in place.
