Students at Abbey Hill Academy make strong progress from their own starting points because of our personalised curriculum, our specialist approach to teaching and learning and our exceptional pastoral support.
We plan each student’s learning journey from year 7 after completing internal, detailed assessments of need. These assessments are carried out in school by our specialist staff through observations, formal assessment, meetings with families and links with other outside agencies and professionals as appropriate.
Every student is set personalised targets or ‘Next Steps’ to work towards. At Abbey Hill Academy, our targets are aspirational. Our high expectations lead to great success.
All our young people achieve RQF recognised qualifications in year 11.
All our young people transfer successfully into further education.
All our young people develop confidence, resilience, independence and ambition.
